Ann Marie received her BFA from the
University of Georgia in 1974. Her first job was crafts editor
for Southern Living Magazine. The birth of five daughters
led to the creation of the Gingham Garden Collection, a hand
painted baby accessory company that was represented by a showroom
in New York and sold locally in shows.
Watercolor has been a favorite medium since an
early age when Ann Marie’s professor dad gave her a box of paints.
In 1984 she began painting in earnest with subject matter being
primarily floral as still lifes, gardens, porches.
Ann Marie teaches Art and Ceramics at Davidson
Fine Arts Magnet School, the top rated high school for the state
of Georgia.
Her works are sold through local and national
galleries.
