For Celly art and life began when she
settled in Rome, Italy in the 60s. She worked as a model for the
Academy of Art and during that time became absorbed with the
concepts of light and form. This interest led to a passion for
black and white photography. Celly had the opportunity to
photograph many famous visual and performing artists while in
Rome, including Leonard Bernstein. Celly’s work has appeared in
numerous magazines.
Celly moved to Augusta in 1993. This photograph
is from a series of her loving memories of the ancient city of
Rome. Celly’s work is available for sale at Pastel on Central.
